PADI Equipment Specialist - €125.00 - (Includes Manual and Certification where available)

This is a non diving course in which you will learn about the equipment that you use during your dive. It will teach

you about how to care for your equipment and you will have a 'hands on' practical session where you will dismantle

simple equipment, clean it, repair it if necessary and then put it all back togther and then test the results.

You will look at BCD's, Regulators, Masks and other equipment including cylinder valves.

It should be stressed that this is not a technicians course which will provide you with the skills necessary to

service both your own and other peoples equipment. There are specialist courses for this level as well as it being

necessary to purchase the appropriate and correct tools made for servicing purposes. These tend to be run by equipment wholesalers on behalf of the major manufacturers such as Aqualung, Scubapro, Mares, Seac Sub and Oceanic - to name but a few.

It is vital that you keep your equipment clean and we strongly recommend that both BCD's and regulators are serviced at least annually by an authorised technician for both the regulators and other diving equipment that you use. If you look after your gear it will look after you! and can last you a lifetime.

The course can be run in your spare time after diving and spread over a few days (subject to workshop time being available). At Utina we are authorised to service Scubapro, Aqualung, Mares and Beuchat. There is a manual which can be sent to your home address at a small additional cost, so please let us know if you would like this option.
