As an addition to the PADI Rescue Diver Course, you can combine the EFR Course to supplement your Rescue Diver qualification.  EFR Primary & Secondary Care are necessary to become a Rescue Diver but you may wish to add the additional components of Care for Childen and CPR & AED to the course. This is a qualification recognised throughout the world as comprehensive and can be used outside the dive industry.

This is a lifetime scuba certification course. A little bit of theory work, 3 sessions in Confined Water and 2 sessions in Open Water and you are there.  Once certified you have a qualification to dive to 12 metres, anywhere with an Instructor.  This course  also puts you well on the way to being a PADI Open Water Diver as the PADI system is modular.

This is a course that many students describe as 'serious fun'. It sets you apart from other divers as someone who, is not only a good diver, but also has the capabilities and skills to help your dive buddy as well as others. Even if you dive with just  the same buddy for most of the time, you will, in case of a difficulty, be able to help assist and indeed rescue your dive colleague. Have a look at the PADI Continuing Education Chart by clicking HERE or at the top of this page.

The Open Water Course is a major step up in diving. This course teaches you more of the skills as well as the theory behind scuba diving. On completion you will be qualified to dive to 18 metres. The course is a combination of teaching you the skills necessary as well as giving you the time to plan a dive and put those skills into practice. There is also a Junior version of this course for younger students of 10 yrs and above up to and including age 15.

This is the first step to put you on the path to being a PADI Professional and participate in a potential life changing experience.  This can be done as a course but you can learn about the business of diving by doing an Internship and become a member of the crew for a period of 3 months or more. Contact us for full details to see what we can offer YOU. As a qualified Divemaster you may be able to work full or part-time in the dive industry.

Adventure Text.JPG

This course is a sub-section of the Advanced Open Water Diver Course where you build on the basic skills you have already mastered during your Open Water Diver Course by completing three more training dives. This is the first dive from each of three PADI Specialty Courses. You read the section in the manual, complete three Knowledge Reviews and then dive the dives. These dives can count towards the full specialty course qualification.

Go Pro and IDC.JPG

As a successful PADI 5 Star IDC Centre, Utina has all of the facilities that are needed to run the full range of Instructor Courses including OWSI, MSDT, Staff and Technical Instructor programs.  These courses are only run at specific times of the year to coincide with the Instructor Examination (IE) held on Gozo or Malta.

The Advanced Open Water Diver Course encompasses the Adventure Diver Course by adding two more dives and Knowledge Reviews from the range of PADI  Specialty Courses which must include Deep Diver and U/W Navigation, if not completed in your Adventure Diver Course. You will then be qualified to dive to 30 metres. These dives can be taken into account should you wish to carry on and complete the full individual specialty courses.

Tec Rec & Beyond text.JPG

There is a full range of PADI Rec/Tec Courses starting at 'Try Tec' to full 'Deep Trimix'. Technical diving is not just a question of plumbing the depths but just as much about adding extra skills to your overall diving knowledge whether it be to 40 mts or beyond.  These are specialised courses and need to be pre-booked due to the very individual teaching that is required
