
PADI Scuba Diver - €350.00 - (Includes Manual & Certification where available)

The PADI Scuba Diver course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver Course. If you're short
on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you
- particularly if you expect to go scuba diving primarily with a dive guide. This course is an
intermediate step for earning the Open Water Diver certification, if that's your ultimate goal.
PADI Scuba Divers are qualified to:-

Dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 metres.

Obtain air fills, rent or purchase scuba equipment and participate in dive activities as long
as properly supervised by a PADI Instructor.

Continue dive training by completing the PADI Open Water Diver certification and taking certain specialty diver courses.
The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases:-

Knowledge Development (eLearning, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic
principles of scuba diving - just the first three of five sections of the Open Water Diver course.

Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills – these are the first three of five dives of the Open Water Diver course

Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore - just two of four dives of the Open Water Diver course
Prerequisites and Course Requirements:-

Age requirement – You must be 10 years or older

Course Requirements – Be able to swim and medically fit for diving. Parent or guardian consent is required where appropriate

Time Commitment – Approximately 4 hours in respect of the academic portion of the course

The cost of the course includes the Open Water Manual, equipment, in-class presentations, knowledge reviews quizzes and Certification Card

It is possible to use the PADI Online Learning system for the academics for the Scuba Diver Course so please ask us about this. However, should you wish to use this facility and continue your education to reach PADI Open Water Diver certification there will be a fee payable to PADI of €216.00 for full access to the remaining course materials.

The first 3 chapters of the PADI Open Water Course manual represent the academic part of the Scuba Diver Course. All equipment required for the course is supplied and is included in the cost of the course. This manual can, therefore, be be used should you decide to upgrade your Scuba Diver qualification to Open Water Diver in the future. It is also a good reference guide for the future.
Please Note:
The cost of the course includes the Scuba Diver Course Manual and certification on completion and can be posted to you, at a small additional cost, so that you can start the theory before you arrive in Gozo and save valuable time.
