PADI Divemaster Course - €1,000.00 - (Includes the DM Ultimate Crewpack)

The PADI Divemaster Course is your first step in becoming a PADI Professional. It is benchmark
career course and recognised throughout the world. Our preference is to conduct the course as
an intern as you also gain intimate knowledge as to the workings of a dive centre, dealing with
customers and planning dives in a comprehensive manner. We would expect the internship to
last for at least 6 to 8 weeks but up to 3 months is ideal. Please let us know if you would like
more details in this regard. As a stand alone course a minimum period of at least 3 weeks will
be required.
During the course you will undertake the following assignments:
Complete knowledge development segments 1 to 9 outlined in the Divemaster Manual or
through the Divemaster Online program, and pass the Divemaster Final Exam. Create an
Emergency Assistance Plan & Dive Site Plan for a designated dive site. Complete waterskills
exercises; complete a diver rescue assessment; complete the dive skills workshop and
assessment; complete practical application skills; complete divemaster conducted programs
workshops; complete practical assessments.
At time of certification, the candidate has to have:
-
Logged at least 60 scuba dives including experience in night diving, deep diving and underwater navigation.
-
Completed EFR Primary and Secondary Care training within 24 months.
-
Read and agreed to the PADI Membership and License Agreement.
-
Diver Prerequisites Certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver and a minimum of 40 logged dives including night dive experience at entry to the program.
-
You will also need to complete a Deep Diver scenario and Search & Recovery scenario. If you already have completed the full specialty for either of the scenarios then they will count towards this requirement.
It is usual for potential Divemaster Candidates to have their own equipment at that stage of their career but we are always happy to come to an arrangement for rental with candidates over equipment matters.
Course Materials:
There is a choice of 'Crew Packs' for the DM course and therefore please feel free to discuss your options with us. A 'Decal' comes with the Crew Pack as this will be required at the time of registration for certification. The PADI Instructor Manual can be electronically downloaded or purchased in paper format directly from PADI. The full CrewPack is suggested as this contains most of the information for continuing education as a PADI Pro'. For help or assistance please contact us. The PADI DM Crewpack can be sent to your home address, at a small additional postage cost, so that you start the theory part of your course before you commence your DM training with us in Gozo. The academic theory part of the course can be done by online learning but an additional fee of €245.00 will need to be paid direct to PADI should this be your required choice We are offering the course as a stand alone minimum of a 3 week course. To complete the DM course on an "Internship" basis and a different cost basis will apply. This will normally require minimum of a 2 month stay. For more information on this option please send us an email to utina@gozomail.com for information.
