PADI Rescue Diver
Advance your diving and rescue skills, and become a more aware buddy. The Rescue Diver Course teaches you the skills to better enable you to act in an emergency situation and enhances your every day diving knowledge. This course begins to focus the diver's attention on other divers. During the course, participants learn recognise and prevent potential problems and accidents and deal with these events should they arise. The course comprises of practical open water sessions and realistic practice scenarios. Participants must have completed the Advanced Open Water Diver course.
Note: You’ll also need to have successfully completed the Emergency 1st Response® program or a sanctioned program in CPR and First Aid within the past 24 months. Utina Diving College Ltd has Instructors who are qualified to conduct both the EFR and the Child EFR Courses.
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organisation)
- Minimum age: 15 years old (12 for PADI Junior Rescue Diver)
- Successful completion of a sanctioned CPR program within the past 24 months
Recommended Course Hours: 25
Minimum Open Water Training: 10 rescue diving scenarios, four open water rescue scenarios and developement of an emergency assistance plan.

PADI Rescue Diver Crew-Pak is a course requirement and is at an additonal cost.
Equipment Hire is not included.
Certification is included.
A copy of the PADI Rescue Diver video is highly recommended for personal study and can be supplied either by Utina or can be pre-purchased from your local PADI Dive Centre.
