PADI Coral Reef Conservation
The AWARE - Coral Reef Conservation Speciality course teaches divers, snorkellers and non-divers about the vital role of coral reefs in the marine environment. The course also familiarises participants with the current state of the world's coral reefs and how they can help preserve them.
Course requirements:
No dive certification required and there is no minimum age limit.
The PADI Coral Reef Conservation Speciality Course covers:
An introduction to Project AWARE, the importance of coral reefs to marine ecosystems and coastal areas, coral reef biology. The course tells you of the status of the world's coral reefs. It teaches how participants can help, including responsible diving and snorkelling practices

Where can I go from here?
You can use this course to complement your PADI Peak Performancy Buoyancy, PADI AWARE - Fish Identification, PADI Underwater Naturalist, PADI Underwater Photography Speciality and PADI Digital Underwater Photography course. In addition, the PADI AWARE - Coral Reef Conservation Speciality course counts as one of five Speciality course certifications required for the PADI Master Scuba Diver certification.
Course materials:
The PADI Coral Reef Conservation Manual is PADI requirement. As with all manuals we can either supply them on arrival or you may purchase them before you arrive which will lessen your study time.
