PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
Do you want to improve or enhance your diving skills? The core areas of the Advanced Open Water Course are experience of deep and navigation dives as well as three other elective dives. This course provides participants with experience of different specialist areas. This course is based upon student interest, instructor recommendations, and dive sites.
On certification as an Advanced Open Water diver you will be certified to dive to a maximum depth of 30 metres in conditions that you were trained in.
Note: PADI Advanced Open Water Divers at least 15 years of age can enrol in PADI Wreck or Deep Diver Specialty courses and continue on to the PADI Rescue Diver course.
Course requirements:
- PADI Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization)
- Minimum age: 15 (12 for PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)
- The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver program covers:
- Five Adventure Dives, including the Deep Adventure dive, Underwater Navigator Adventure Dive and three of the following:- Altitude Diver, Boat Diver, Drift Diver, Deep Diver, Night Diver,
- Dry Suit Diver, Dive Propulsion Vehicle,
- Multilevel Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search and Recovery,
- Underwater Naturalist, Underwater Videographer,
- Underwater Photographer, Underwater Navigator,
- AWARE Fish Identification, Wreck Diver
Duration:
Minimum Open Water Training: five dives over two days
