Utina Diving College Ltd is a PADI Five Star Gold Palm IDC Centre and prides itself on its friendly professional attitude to diving. The warm and crystal clear blue waters around the island of Gozo offer perfect diving conditions. Divers from all over the world enjoy exploring the tunnels, caves, grottos, reefs and spectacular scenery abundant with marine life as well as the 260 foot-long wreck of the MV Xlendi, an ex- Malta - Gozo ferry scuttled in a diver an environmentally friendly way of the coast of Xatt L'Ahmar in November 1999, the superb tugboat the Rozi, the El Faroud and the famous ship used in the making of the film Popeye in 1979 popularly known as the Popeye Barge just of Anchor Bay. Other dive sites include Alexanders Cave, Santa Maria Caves, Lantern Point on Comino and the Cathedral Cave and Coral Cave at Dwerja and only add to the Gozo diving experience.

We can arrange part or all of your transfers from the airport to your accommodation. Just let us know your flight numbers and details, where you are staying and how many in your party. We can also arrange Car or Jeep Hire for your stay at competitive rates. Remember to bring your driving licence with you.

PADI Jnr Open Water Course (Age10 - 15) - €325.00 or £238.74

This is the certification course needed to dive safely anywhere in the world with a certified buddy. You will be qualified to dive to a maximum depth of 12 metres at the age of 10 & 11 and to 18 metres from age 12 to 15. All materials can be provided for a flexible home study option and knowledge review session at your convenience. Confined water sessions are followed by four open water-qualifying dives to gain your certification. Participants must be at least 10 years old at commencement of the course and have had completed a medical form.

Note: A PADI Jnr Open Water Diver between the ages of 10 and 12 years may only dive with a PADI Professional, a certified parent or certified guardian to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40 feet.

Course requirements:

Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Junior Open Water Diver certification. If you are between 10 and 14 or have a child between these ages, there is a PADI Junior Open Water Diver program available.

Ability to swim 200 metres and float for 10 minutes.

The PADI Jnr Open Water Diver program covers:

Throughout the course, you’ll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You earn this rating by completing confined water dives, 5 knowledge development sessions and by making 4 open water (ocean or lake) dives.

Duration:

PADI programs are performance based. You proceed as you demonstrate mastery of the course skills. This allows you to work at a pace that is comfortable for you. The course will normally take between 3 to 5 days
