EFR Bi-Annual Refresher Course - €90.00

Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) teaches you how to deal with emergencies that are immediately life threatening. You will focus on primary care through a combination of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to make sure you have the knowledge, understanding and confidence to use your skills. Note: You may also participate in an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training component, learn how to help a conscious choking adult and have an emergency oxygen use orientation.

Emergency First Responder (EFR Primary Care) program covers:

  • Scene Assessment

  • Barrier Use

  • Primary Assessment

  • Rescue Breathing

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

  • Serious bleeding management

  • Shock management

  • Spinal injury management

Emergency First Response Secondary Care (First Aid) covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening or when the local EMS is unavailable or delayed. You focus on secondary assessment and first aid through knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice.

Course requirements:

  • No dive certification required

  • No minimum age limit

  • PADI Emergency First Responder (EFR Secondary Care) program covers all of the below items in addition to Primary Care:-

    • Injury Assessment

    • Illness Assessment

    • Bandaging

    • Splinting for Dislocations and Fractures

    • Use of an AED (Defibrillator)

Duration: Depending on the amount of home study, the Primary and Defibrillator Courses maybe completed in as little as four hours.

Course Materials: Basic Participant Course Book is included in the course price as is the EFR Certification.The manual can be sent to your home address so that you may begin the theory part of your course before you begin your holiday in Gozo!

The Care for Children Manual and Rescue Mask are available at an extra cost.

Please Note: This is a course that can be conducted outside diving and can be put into practise within the workplace. This course is mandatory for Divemaster Trainees, Assistant Instructors and Instructors.
